About the client
The client is a leading tech-enabled Packers & Movers brand operating across major Indian metros. Before booking a move, most of its customers search "NoBroker Packers and Movers City Based Reviews", which makes that results page the last touchpoint before a decision.
For these queries, Page 1 was led by complaint threads, critical Reddit discussions and forum posts. No brand-positive or brand-owned review content appeared in the top 10. That cost bookings at the point of decision in every city the brand served.
Objective and timeline
The goal was to give prospective customers a fair, balanced picture of the brand on every city review SERP, by making credible positive content outrank one-sided negative threads.
- Page 1 presence for every targeted city review query
- #1 organic position in priority cities
- Multiple positive results per SERP, so no single negative thread sets the tone
- Visibility in Google AI Overviews, the summary that now appears above organic results
The programme began in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad, then scaled to six more cities. Content went live between February and April 2026, and the rankings in this case study were captured in September 2026.
The challenge
- Negative Reddit and forum threads ranked on Page 1, and Google gives community sources heavy weight for "reviews" queries.
- AI Overviews were summarising those threads, turning individual complaints into Google's own answer about the brand.
- No positive brand content in the top 10 meant nothing balanced the narrative.
- 9 separate SERPs, each with its own ranking set, so one national fix would not work.
Strategy and execution
Suppression alone doesn't last, so we filled each SERP with content that is more credible and more useful than the negative threads. Every asset targeted one exact query, "NoBroker Packers and Movers [City] Reviews". Each one answered what movers actually ask about: pricing, hidden costs, damage handling, punctuality and the full booking-to-delivery experience.
| Channel | What we did | Why it works for review SERPs |
|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn Pulse | Customer-experience and pros-and-cons explainers per city, covering pricing, hidden costs and complaint handling | High authority, fast indexing, strong trust for review intent |
| Opened threads in city relocation subreddits inviting genuine customer experiences, and added factual, balanced replies to existing threads | Google favours Reddit for "reviews" queries and cites it in AI Overviews and Discussions and forums | |
| Facebook Groups | Service-feedback discussions in city moving and housing communities | Indexable community signals for local queries |
| Guest posts | Moving guides and service reviews on news and consumer-feedback sites | Third-party editorial credibility |
| Web 2.0 blogs | Topic clusters on pricing, service quality and common complaints | Several ranking entries from one controlled property |
| Social bookmarking | Amplification of review articles and threads | Faster discovery and indexing |
| Monitoring | Weekly SERP and AI Overview tracking per city | Showed where to push next and which formats to repeat |
The content covered both sides honestly. Pros-and-cons, hidden-cost and common-complaint formats ranked because they matched real search intent and read as credible rather than promotional.
Results by city
Every one of the 9 city review queries shows our content on Page 1. Hyderabad is the strongest SERP, with 5 of the top 10 results. Positions are Google organic rankings as of September 2026, each backed by a SERP screenshot, and each URL is counted once per query.
| City | Best position | Top 3 | Page 1 | Top 20 | Placements | AIO citations |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hyderabad | #1 (Reddit) | 2 | 5 | 6 | 9 | 2 |
| Bangalore | #1 (LinkedIn) | 1 | 2 | 4 | 10 | 2 |
| Gurgaon | #1 (LinkedIn) | 1 | 2 | 3 | 6 | 1 |
| Chennai | #2 (Reddit), behind the brand's official review page at #1 | 2 | 3 | 6 | 7 | 3 |
| Noida | #2 (LinkedIn) | 1 | 3 | 3 | 3 | 1 |
| Ghaziabad | #2 (LinkedIn) | 1 | 2 | 4 | 7 | 0 |
| Delhi | #4 (LinkedIn) | 0 | 2 | 4 | 8 | 1 |
| Mumbai | #7 (LinkedIn) | 0 | 1 | 2 | 5 | 0 |
| Pune | #8 (LinkedIn) | 0 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 1 |
| Total | 3 cities at #1 | 8 | 21 | 34 | 59 | 11 |
SERP evidence
The screenshots below show what a prospective customer sees today in three priority cities.
Hyderabad: positive content leads the whole page
Google's AI Overview for Hyderabad now reports generally positive reviews, highlighting punctuality, careful item handling and transparent pricing, while noting that experience can vary by assigned vendor. It cites our LinkedIn article, and both source cards beside it (Reddit and LinkedIn) are our content. The #1 organic result is our Reddit thread in r/PackMovehyderabad, with 30+ comments, and the same thread also leads "Discussions and forums".
Further down, our Facebook community post and our newsechoed.com guest post also rank on Page 1, alongside video testimonials. In effect, the whole Hyderabad review SERP now presents a balanced-to-positive view.
Chennai: the brand's own review page takes #1
In Chennai, the brand's official reviews page is now the #1 organic result, which directly answers the original problem of no brand-owned content in the top 10. The AI Overview cites a 4.8-star average rating and a 99% positive feedback score, and our r/packmovechennai thread appears among its source cards.
Bangalore: #1 organic, with AI Overview sentiment still balancing
Our LinkedIn Pulse review is the #1 organic result in Bangalore. The AI Overview describes sentiment as mixed: convenient, structured experiences on one side, complaints about outsourced vendors on the other. An older critical thread in r/bangalore is still one of its sources. Bangalore is where the narrative has moved from one-sided to balanced, and it remains the priority for the next phase.
Channel performance
LinkedIn Pulse delivered the most Page 1 rankings, but Reddit and Facebook had the highest hit rate: half of their placements reached Page 1, including a #1 and a #2 for Reddit.
| Channel | Placements | Page 1 (top 10) | Page 1 hit rate | Best position |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn Pulse | 36 | 13 | 36% | #1 (Bangalore, Gurgaon) |
| 4 | 2 | 50% | #1 (Hyderabad) | |
| Facebook Groups | 4 | 2 | 50% | #6 (Chennai) |
| Guest posts | 6 | 2 | 33% | #4 (Noida) |
| Web 2.0 blogs | 6 | 2 | 33% | #5 (Ghaziabad) |
| Social bookmarking | 2 | 0 | 0% | #19 (Delhi) |
| Articles | 1 | 0 | 0% | #17 (Bangalore) |
One in-depth LinkedIn moving review ranks for 8 of the 9 city queries: #1 in Gurgaon, #2 in Noida, and Page 1 in Pune and Delhi. Genuinely useful, detailed content earned rankings well beyond the city it was written about.
What made it work
- Query-level targeting. Each asset matched one exact city review query, so Google had a precise answer for the searcher.
- A platform mix that matches Google's trust signals. LinkedIn brought authority and fast indexing. Reddit and Facebook brought the community signals Google prioritises for "reviews" searches and feeds into AI Overviews.
- Balanced, not promotional, content. Pros-and-cons and hidden-cost formats read as credible, which is why they ranked and were cited.
- Several assets per SERP. Up to 10 per city meant the balanced view held multiple slots, not just one.
- Weekly SERP and AI Overview monitoring. Tracking every position showed which cities needed support and which formats to repeat.
Conclusion
A three-city reputation fix grew into a 9-city programme. Positive content now ranks on Page 1 for every targeted review query, holds #1 in three cities, and is cited in Google's AI Overview for seven. In Hyderabad and Chennai, the AI summary itself now leads with positive customer feedback.
Reputation that lasts doesn't come from burying criticism. It comes from building a more credible, more visible and more useful presence than the negative content, on the platforms Google and AI answer engines already trust.
